Families are well catered for with the
foreshore boasting the fantastic Keppel Kraken’ zero-depth water park, open daily. A short walk south down Anzac Parade will take you to Appleton Park, a fully fenced and shaded children’s playground that offers almost endless activities for the kids, including an all abilities playground, sandpit and mini bike track, plus BBQs, tables and public toilets to make it an ideal family outing. Just next to the park is the Yeppoon skate park, where the bigger kids will happily spend hours scooting around.

Take a sparkling, infinity edge pool, add views of the Keppel Islands and you’ve arrived at the Yeppoon Lagoon.
This free aquatic playground has swimming spots for everyone. At Yeppoon Lagoon, kids can paddle in the shade of the water play fountains, big kids can go deep diving, or lap swimming, or even just relaxing and enjoying the views.

If coastal volcanic headlands with intriguing rock formations, scenic lookouts and trails through diverse vegetation spark your interest, then the
Capricorn Coast National Park is worth a visit. The two most popular sections of this park are Fan Rock/Rosslyn Bay Lookouts, and the Bluff Point Circuit are located only a short drive from Yeppoon town centre. If you love a good rainforest swimming hole then the half hour drive to Byfield Rainforest needs to be at the top of your list.

Yeppoon marks the start of 26 kilometres of coastline following the Scenic Highway all the way to the village of Emu Park. This stunning drive is said to be one of the prettiest drives in Queensland boasting many breathtaking, tranquil beaches.
