Forest Fields Campstay

A piece of paradise… Step back in time at Forest Fields Campstay (formally Byfield Campstay) to how camping used to be. Set up your camp on a peaceful and private bush location just minutes from the Byfield National Park and State Forest.

This paid campground offers 20 unpowered campsites, toilets, bucket showers and drinking water. It is dog friendly (please ensure your furry friends are on the lead). Fires are allowed with firewood available for purchase (or bring your own). Generators are ok, daylight hours only.

The site is accessible to RVs, camper trailers, caravans and tents.

This area is home of the Great Imperial Fruit Dove [or Wompoo Pigeon] and the unique Byfield Fern [Bowenia Serralata]. Byfield Campstay is situated on the “migratory trail”, meaning that different birds are always passing through.

A wide variety of native wildlife may be seen – wallabies, bandicoots, bush turkeys and reptiles.

Originally a citrus orchard, Beth and Chris (previous owners) decided to diversify. They planted Quandong and Byfield Pine trees for timber, and now have many varieties of fruit trees including sapotes, sapodillas, grumachumas, jaboticabas, jackfruit, avocados and bananas.

Your hosts Shayne & Melissa Geddes look forward to welcoming you!
